My name is Asa. I began working with glass seven years ago and it has gradually taken over my life. Located outside of my native town, La Luz, New Mexico, I now blow glass art and build glass working equipment full time. My approach to creating is straightforward. I like to make things. Things of simplicity, things of complexity. Sometimes practical, sometimes whimsical. I particularly enjoy making things out of glass. Both the physical and technical challenge of the process and the inherent, instinctual beauty of the medium, captivate me. In response, I explore, blowing glass, building contraptions, trying to create pieces that illuminate the elements of this attraction, both to you and me.
Within this site you can find a bit more out about me, the process of glassblowing, the work I have done and where you can find it.
